Overview

Dayara Bugyal Trek is a popular trekking and camping destination in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. It’s located about 40 km from Uttarkashi and has an average 12,645 ft. altitude.

The Dayara Bugyal trek is considered one of the most beautiful and breathtaking treks in Uttarakhand. It’s an easy trek that’s perfect for beginners. The trek takes you through the Bugyal (meadows), which are considered among the country’s most beautiful alpine meadows. The meadows are at full bloom in the months of May and June and in winters it turns into an Iceland, the meadows remains covered in white carpet of snow.

The summit point is Bakaria top (12,645 Feet), head to the top and witness magnificent panorama views of lofty Gangotri group of peaks, Bandarpoonch, Draupadi Ka Danda, Shrikhand Mahadev and Black peak. The trek is around 23-24 km by foot and 350 km by vehicle.

Schedule Details

Day 1 - Dehradun, Drive to Raithal village (175 km – 7,423 ft.)
  • Pickup from Dehradun Railway Station in the Morning.
  • Enjoy the picturesque journey to reach Raithal village (base camp of Dayara Bugyal trek).
  • After arrival, Enjoy evening snacks in the open Garden with great views.
  • Overnight stay at Guest House / Home stay.
Day 2 - Trek start, Raithal village to Gui Camp-site (5 km – 9,884 ft.)
  • After breakfast, the trek starts from Raithal village.
  • Forest mostly cover of Deodar, Oaks, Rhododendrons and Silver Birch.
  • On the way, you can also see Gangotri group of peaks.
  • Overnight stay at camp.
Day 3 - Trek from Gui Camp-site to Chilapada Camp-site (3 km – 10,145 ft.)
  • After breakfast, start your trek starts from Gui Camp.
  • On the day, views will getting clear  Gangotri group of peaks, Bandarpoonch, Draupadi Ka Danda, Shrikhand Mahadev and Black peak.
  • Overnight stay at camp.
Day 4 - Chilapada Camp-site to Bakaria Top (Dayara Bugyal Summit 12,645 ft.) Descend to camp Gui Camp (10km)
  • Start your trek to Bakaria Top, The Summit point and watch the beautiful Sunrise at 12,645 ft.
  • Feel the pressure & the sound of the wind.
  • Enjoy the Towering peaks like Draupadi Ka Danda, Shrikhand Mahadev, Mt Jaonli, Bandarpunch and Black peak.
  • Now get ready to descend back to camp-site, while enjoying the pristine beauty of the meadows.
  • Overnight stay at camp.
Day 5 - Gui Camp to Raithal Village (5 km), Drive to Dehradun (175 km)
  • Trek to the new camp-site after the breakfast, this is the second route of this trek.
  • Fell the vibe of beautiful forest and serene environment.
  • After reaching the Raithal Village, get freshed.
  • Drive back to Dehradun.
